Cookie Policy

How Avaro uses cookies and how to manage your preferences

Last updated: March 2026

Introduction

This Cookie Policy ("Policy") explains how Avaro Technologies Ltd ("we", "us", "our", or "Company") uses cookies and similar technologies on our website at www.avarotechnologies.com and our Avaro One platform (collectively, the "Website").

We are committed to being transparent about our use of cookies and to help you understand your choices regarding these technologies. This Policy should be read in conjunction with our Privacy Policy, which explains our overall approach to data protection.

1. What Are Cookies?

Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, smartphone, tablet, etc.) when you visit a website or use an application. Cookies serve several purposes:

  • Persistence: They remember your preferences and login information across sessions
  • Functionality: They enable certain features to work properly
  • Security: They help protect against fraud and unauthorised access

Cookies can be "session cookies" (deleted when you close your browser) or "persistent cookies" (stored on your device for a specified period). They can also be "first-party cookies" (set by the website you're visiting) or "third-party cookies" (set by other domains).

2. How Avaro Uses Cookies

We take a minimal approach to cookies. Our website primarily uses first-party cookies that are necessary for the site to function or to remember your preferences. We do not currently use third-party advertising, remarketing, or behavioural tracking cookies.

2.1 Essential Service Functionality

We use certain cookies that are strictly necessary for the Website to function. These cookies are essential for:

  • Authenticating your identity and maintaining your login session on the Avaro One platform
  • Protecting against Cross-Site Request Forgery (CSRF) and other security threats
  • Recording your cookie consent preference

These cookies are required for the Website to operate and cannot be disabled without affecting functionality.

2.2 User Experience Preferences

We use functional cookies to remember your preferences, such as language selection, theme preferences (light/dark mode), timezone, and other UI settings you configure within the Avaro One platform.

2.3 Third-Party Font Delivery

We use Google Fonts to deliver typography on our website. Google Fonts may set cookies or collect limited technical data (such as IP address) when loading font files. This is a standard web practice required for rendering the website's design. No personal profiling or advertising occurs through this service. You can learn more at Google Fonts Privacy FAQ.

3. Cookies We Use

The following tables detail every cookie set by our Website:

Strictly Necessary — No Consent Required

These cookies are essential for the Website to function. They cannot be switched off.

Cookie Name Provider Purpose Type Duration
_session_id Avaro Technologies Maintains your login session and authentication state on the Avaro One platform Session Until browser close
csrf_token Avaro Technologies Prevents Cross-Site Request Forgery attacks when submitting forms Session Until browser close
avaro_cookie_consent Avaro Technologies Records your cookie consent preference (e.g. "all", "necessary", or specific categories) Persistent 12 months

Functional — Requires Consent

These cookies remember your preferences within the Avaro One platform. They are only set when you are logged in and actively using the application.

Cookie Name Provider Purpose Type Duration
language Avaro Technologies Remembers your preferred language setting Persistent 12 months
theme_preference Avaro Technologies Stores your chosen colour theme (light/dark mode) Persistent 12 months
ui_preferences Avaro Technologies Stores UI customisation settings (layout, sidebar state, etc.) Persistent 12 months
timezone Avaro Technologies Remembers your timezone for displaying localised date and time values Persistent 12 months

Third-Party Resources

The only third-party service loaded by our website is Google Fonts, which delivers the typefaces used across the site. Google Fonts may log standard HTTP request data (IP address, URL requested, timestamp) but does not use this data for advertising or profiling purposes.

We do not currently use any third-party analytics, advertising, remarketing, or social media tracking cookies. If we introduce such services in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before any non-essential cookies are set.

4. How to Manage and Control Cookies

4.1 Our Cookie Consent Banner

When you first visit our Website, you are presented with a cookie consent banner. You can:

  • Accept All: Accept all cookies (strictly necessary and functional)
  • Reject All: Only strictly necessary cookies will be used
  • Manage Preferences: Choose which categories of cookies to accept

You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clearing your browser cookies for our domain, which will cause the consent banner to reappear on your next visit.

4.2 Browser Cookie Settings

You can also control cookies through your web browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view, delete, and block cookies. Below are instructions for common browsers:

Google Chrome

  1. Click the menu button (three vertical dots) in the top-right corner
  2. Select "Settings" > "Privacy and security" > "Cookies and other site data"
  3. Choose your preferred cookie setting or manage exceptions for specific sites

Mozilla Firefox

  1. Click the menu button (three horizontal lines) in the top-right corner
  2. Select "Settings" > "Privacy & Security"
  3. Under "Cookies and Site Data", choose your preference or manage exceptions

Safari

  1. Click "Safari" in the menu bar > "Preferences" > "Privacy" tab
  2. Under "Cookies and website data", select your preferred level of cookie blocking

Microsoft Edge

  1. Click the menu (three dots) > "Settings" > "Privacy, search, and services"
  2. Under "Cookies and other site data", choose your preference or manage exceptions

4.3 Do Not Track (DNT)

Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" feature. As our website does not use third-party tracking cookies, DNT signals do not currently alter our cookie behaviour. We will respect DNT signals if we introduce analytics or tracking services in the future.

5. Consequences of Disabling Cookies

If you disable strictly necessary cookies, you may experience the following:

  • You may not be able to log in to the Avaro One platform
  • Form submissions may fail due to CSRF protection
  • The cookie consent banner may reappear on every page visit

If you disable functional cookies, the Avaro One platform will still work, but your preferences (theme, language, timezone, UI layout) will not be remembered between sessions.

6. Future Changes

If we introduce analytics, advertising, or other third-party cookie services in the future, we will:

  • Update this Cookie Policy with full details of any new cookies
  • Request your consent before setting any non-essential cookies
  • Ensure all third-party services meet our data protection standards
  • Provide clear opt-out mechanisms for each cookie category

We will notify you of material changes via email (where you have provided an email address) or by posting a notice on our Website with an updated "Last Updated" date.
