Deliver profitably, and see it while it's happening
Projects start from the signed contract with their budget, milestones and owner. Time and expenses land against them, and margin updates as the work is done.

Every project knows what it's worth
Billed, not yet billed, cost and margin sit at the top of every project. When something drifts, Avaro Core says why in plain English.
- Milestones that bill on completion, tasks and risks
- One owner per project, responsible for its budget and its timesheets
- Off-track warnings with the reason, such as milestones past due or approved time not invoiced
- 2 milestones past their due date
- 71% of the schedule has passed with 0% of milestones complete
- £1,983 of approved time has not been invoiced
- Billed
- £7,066.07
- Not billed
- £1,982.57
- Cost
- £9,981.57
- Margin
- −10.3% −£932.93
Approvals by the person who knows the work
People log time as they go, on the web or on their phone. Each project's owner approves the hours on their project, and expenses go to a manager and then to finance.
- Weekly timesheets approved per project, never by the person who logged them
- Two-step expense approval with your own policy
- Capture on your phone, even without signal, and it syncs later
Margin on every project, worst first
Real cost rates for each person mean real margins. Utilisation shows who is billable, and who is stretched.
- Project profitability report
- Utilisation by person and team
- Hours with no cost rate flagged, so margins aren't flattered
| Project | Billed | Margin |
|---|---|---|
| Network segmentation | £7,066.07 | −10.3% |
| All projects | £972,791.89 | 42.9% |
Staff what you sell
See each person's weekly hours and time away beside the work that's booked. Ask who could take on a piece of work and get a shortlist, with the reason for each name.
- Skills and levels, kept up to date by the time people log
- Bookings by project and week
- Suggestions you can check, never automatic assignment
Support you can bill for
Tickets are raised against a signed support agreement or retainer. Response and resolution times come from the contract, and time spent on a ticket becomes billable work.
- Clients raise tickets by email or in their portal
- An SLA clock everyone can see, paused while you wait on the client
- Service history ready for the renewal conversation

Common questions
Who approves timesheets?
The owner of each project approves the hours logged on it. If a week spans three projects, each owner approves their part. Nobody can approve their own time.
Does Avaro Core have Gantt charts?
Not today. Projects run on milestones, tasks, risks and owners, with budget and margin on the same page. Tell us if a timeline view matters to you.
Is the mobile app a separate download?
No. Install it from your phone's browser. It works without signal and syncs when you're back online.
Can we plan capacity on the free plan?
Capacity planning and support tickets are on the Growth and Business plans. Everything else on this page is on every plan.
